We are Harvest Owl, made up of Kerryn, Alex and little Tansy. We are fresh on the scene in the vegetable growing market. We lease 1 acre of land from our friends at Valla Permaculture Farm in Valla rural. We grow all of our produce using organic methods and are currently in the process of becoming certified.
After a year of experimental growing and with the formation of the North Arm Farms co-operative, we have honed in our crops and plan to use our geographical advantage to grow off-season veggies such as cherry tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, zucchini and a few other warm season items balanced out with carrots, turnips and chard.
We believe that eating locally and seasonally is one of the most important and easiest ways to start living a more sustainable life and we aim to educate the broader community through our growing practices. We also want to re-connect people with
the soil and encourage them to grow their own food to remember the simple things in this busy life.
